Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat

Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat is a real-time tactics game developed by Mindscape and published by Strategic Simulations, set within the Warhammer Fantasy world and following mercenary commander Morgan Bernhardt as he becomes entangled in a plot by the Skaven to destabilise the Old World. The game was released on PlayStation in late 1996 and features a full campaign with over 25 troop types and 20 spells.

This original PAL release, dated 15 December 1996, is the German regional pressing within the three catalogued PAL variants. It is presented in a Full Jewel PAL case with no hologram on the case and contains a single disc. The game supports English, French, and German. Loose paperwork includes a Mindscape Yellow Burgess Hill Registration Card. No case stickers or bundled demo discs are present. The German pressing shares its serial with the UK and French editions but is distinguished by its unique EAN barcode. For collectors, the registration card is a notable inclusion and an indicator of completeness for this variant.
