Twisted Metal

Twisted Metal is a vehicular combat game developed by SingleTrac Entertainment Tech and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. Players choose from 12 distinct vehicles and drivers to compete in arena-based battles, with the ultimate prize being a single wish granted by the enigmatic Calypso.

This is the sole known PAL Original release, covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, and Norway. It is presented in the Multiway Jewel Two Disk case format, a larger case style used for a number of early PAL PlayStation releases, and contains a single disc. The release is in English only, with no hologram on the case. No loose paperwork, case stickers, or bundled demo discs are documented. The recorded release date is 10 January 1996. The Multiway Jewel Two Disk format is a physically distinctive characteristic that sets early PAL releases like this apart from the standard Full Jewel PAL editions that became the norm later in the console’s lifecycle.
