Starwinder: The Ultimate Space Race

Starwinder: The Ultimate Space Race is a futuristic racing game developed and published by Mindscape, casting players as Conner Rhodes, Earth’s first competitor in a galaxy-spanning race held on alien-built rails that thread through the vastness of space and dramatically accelerate any ship that navigates toward them.

This original PAL release, dated 10 January 1997, is a UK-exclusive pressing. It comes in a standard Full Jewel PAL single-disc case with no hologram on the case, and is English-language only. A Mindscape Manual Centerfold Registration Card is included as loose paperwork. No case stickers or bundled demo discs have been documented. As the only PAL variant catalogued for this title, and with no known broader European distribution, this UK pressing is the sole physical record of Starwinder’s PAL release. Its limited reach and near-total absence from third-party databases make it an elusive title for collectors with an interest in lesser-documented PS1 releases.
