Road Rash

Road Rash is a racing and vehicular combat game developed by the Advanced Technology Group and published by Electronic Arts, originally released on the 3DO in 1994 and ported to PlayStation in 1996. The game challenges players to race motorcycles across California while fighting rivals and avoiding police, across five difficulty levels with eight bikes available to purchase.

This is the Platinum budget re-release covering the UK, France, Germany, and Spain, carrying serial SLES-00158. It is housed in a Full Jewel PAL case containing a single disc, with a hologram on the case. Languages supported include English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, and Spanish, a notably broad range. Research notes indicate the manual carries the PlayStation Platinum label alongside an Electronic Arts banner, and raise an open question as to whether separate Dutch and Italian versions exist or whether those languages are simply included within the manual. No loose paperwork, case stickers, or bundled demo discs are present. Six PAL variants of Road Rash are catalogued in total.
