Resident Evil is the landmark 1996 survival horror game developed by Capcom Production Studio 4 and published in Europe by Virgin Interactive. Placing players in the role of S.T.A.R.S. operatives inside a zombie-filled mansion, the game defined the survival horror genre on PlayStation and remains one of the most celebrated titles of its era.

This is the UK Value Series White Label budget re-release, carrying serial SLES-00200 and released on 27 October 2000. It is housed in a Full Jewel PAL case containing a single disc, with a hologram on the case. English is the sole language. No loose paperwork, case stickers, or bundled demo discs are included. Sixteen PAL variants of Resident Evil are catalogued in total. This late 2000 re-release under the Value Series White Label banner represents one of the final budget pressings of the game during the PS1 era, and is identifiable by the White Label designation alongside the hologram on the case.
