Firestorm: Thunderhawk 2 is a combat flight simulation game developed and published by Core Design, serving as the sequel to Thunderhawk AH-73M and known as Thunderstrike 2 in North America. Released in 1995 across PlayStation, Sega Saturn, and MS-DOS, the title tasks players with completing military helicopter missions across a range of combat environments.
This is the European original release covering the UK, France, and Spain, carrying serial SLES-00145 and released on 10 December 1995. It is housed in a Multiway Jewel One Disk case containing a single disc, with no hologram on the case. English and French are the supported languages. No loose paperwork, case stickers, or bundled demo discs are included. Twelve PAL variants of Firestorm: Thunderhawk 2 are catalogued in total, and this original launch pressing in its Multiway Jewel One Disk format is physically distinct from the later Full Jewel PAL re-releases, giving it particular significance to collectors of early PAL PlayStation packaging.
