Descent

Descent is a first-person shooter developed by Parallax Software Corporation and published by Interplay. One of the earliest FPS titles to use fully true-3D graphics, the game casts the player as a mercenary piloting a spacecraft through a series of mine complexes, battling robotic enemies across 30 levels with full six-degrees-of-freedom movement.

This is the continental European Original release of the PAL version, covering France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands. It is presented in a Full Jewel PAL case containing a single disc, in English only, and carries no hologram on the case. No loose paperwork, case stickers, or bundled demo discs are documented. The recorded release date is 14 May 1996. A separate UK and Scandinavian pressing of the same release is catalogued with a different EAN barcode, making this the specifically continental European variant, identifiable by its distinct barcode.
