Defcon 5 is an action-adventure game developed by Millennium Interactive and published by Psygnosis, placing players inside a besieged military base where they must man exterior gun turrets, navigate interior corridors for access keys, and manage an automated base defence system through a virtual operating interface.
This original PAL release, issued on 24 November 1995, covers the UK, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, and Norway. It comes in a Multiway Jewel One Disk case with no hologram on the case, and is English-language only, serving the Northern European markets from a single pressing. A Purple/Pink KV-16WT1 Television Leaflet is included as loose paperwork, an unusual period insert likely promoting Sony hardware. No case stickers or bundled demo discs have been documented. This is one of five PAL variants catalogued for Defcon 5, with separate serials assigned to Italy, Spain, Germany, and France. The combination of Northern European multi-territory coverage and the distinctive television leaflet insert makes this a characterful release for collectors.
