Critical Depth

Critical Depth is a vehicular combat game developed by SingleTrac and published by GT Interactive for the PlayStation. Sharing its engine with SingleTrac’s Twisted Metal franchise, the game moves the demolition derby concept underwater, with players selecting a submarine and battling rivals across a variety of arenas using an assortment of weapons and pickups.

This is the sole catalogued PAL variant of Critical Depth, carrying serial SLES-00136 and released on 1 December 1997. It is housed in a Full Jewel PAL case containing a single disc, with a hologram on the case. The release covers the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands, with English as the sole language. Loose paperwork includes a GT Light Purple Registration Card, which collectors should verify for completeness. No case stickers or bundled demo discs are present. As the only known PAL variant, this original pressing is the definitive European physical edition of the game.
