Supersonic Racers
SLES-00080
Initially Released 15 October 1996
Supersonic Racers, released as Dare Devil Derby 3D in North America and Japan, is a racing game developed by Supersonic Software and published by Mindscape for the PlayStation. It offers a range of single-player and multiplayer modes including grand prix racing, head-to-head bouts, and demolition derby-style Knockout events, with support for up to eight players via the multitap adapter.
Three PAL variants have been catalogued for this title, all sharing the same serial and released as original editions from 15 October 1996. The releases are differentiated by territory: one pressing covers the UK, Spain, and Italy; a second covers France; and a third is specific to Germany, each with its own distinct EAN barcode. All three come in a standard Full Jewel PAL single-disc case with no hologram on the case, and each supports the same broad multilingual range of English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. No loose paperwork, case stickers, or bundled demo discs have been documented for any variant. The three distinct territory pressings provide a modest but clear collecting spread for PAL enthusiasts.
