Spider: The Video Game
SLES-00117
Initially Released 26 February 1997
Spider: The Video Game is an action game developed by Boss Game Studios and published by BMG Interactive Entertainment, casting players as a cybernetic spider navigating a research laboratory, collecting microchips and using weapons to fight off hostile artificial life experiments. The game was released in early 1997 across several European territories.
Three PAL variants have been catalogued, all original releases with no budget or Platinum re-releases documented. Releases cover France, Germany, Italy, and the UK, with separate serials used for the French and German editions. The UK and Italian release share a serial, while France and Germany each have their own. All variants use the Full Jewel PAL case format with a single disc and no hologram on the case. Language coverage across the PAL releases includes English, French, and German. A BMG Registration Card is documented as loose paperwork, though research notes flag uncertainty about whether this insert is consistently present. No bundled demo discs have been recorded. As a fairly obscure BMG Interactive title, Spider attracts interest among collectors of mid-nineties curios.
