Road Rash

Road Rash is a motorcycle racing and vehicular combat game originally developed by Electronic Arts’ Advanced Technology Group for the 3DO in 1994, ported to PlayStation and other platforms in 1996. Players race through five levels across California, engaging in unarmed and armed combat with rivals, supported by a licensed grunge soundtrack and digitised full-motion video.

Six PAL variants of Road Rash are catalogued in the database, spanning France, Germany, Spain, and the UK. Release types include Original, Platinum, EA Classics, and Value Series Black Label, with the earliest PAL release recorded as 1 March 1996. The original release uses a Full Jewel Black Bordered PAL case with no hologram on the case, while all later reissues use standard Full Jewel PAL cases with a hologram on the case. Language coverage expands significantly across the later releases, with the Platinum edition documented as supporting Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. EA Classics and Value Series Black Label editions include front cover variations and are distinguished by their respective label branding, including a PlayStation Black Label on the Value Series editions.
