Prince Naseem Boxing
SLES-00017
Initially Released 11 March 2000
Prince Naseem Boxing is a boxing simulation developed and published by Codemasters, released in 2000 and endorsed by the British featherweight champion Prince Naseem Hamed, who was at the height of his fame at the time of release. The game was published exclusively for the PlayStation in the PAL region.
One PAL variant is currently catalogued in the database, an original release edition for the UK dated 11 March 2000. The release is presented in a Full Jewel PAL case with a Hologram A on the case, and contains a single disc. Language support spans English, French, German, Italian and Spanish despite being a UK-only release. This is likely the same content in Mike Tyson Boxing which was released through European regions with a different SLES code and branding. Several items of loose paperwork are documented, including a Codemasters recruitment leaflet titled “Want to Play Games for a Living?”, a dark purple Codemasters promotional piece branded “Nothing Gets Closer”, and a PMASPSUK08 Boxing Power Up leaflet. No bundled demo discs are present. As a licensed title tied closely to a specific sporting personality and era, and with only a single catalogued variant, this release holds niche but genuine collector interest in the UK.
