PGA Tour 96
SLES-00073
Initially Released 15 November 1995
PGA Tour 96 is a sports golf simulation developed and published by EA Sports, covering the 1995 PGA Tour season with a roster of professional players and multiple game modes including stroke play, match play, and tournament formats. Caddies automatically assign clubs based on lie and conditions, keeping the focus on shot-making and course management.
Three PAL variants have been catalogued for this title, all sharing the same serial and distributed across the UK, France, Germany, and Spain. The earliest release is an original edition from 15 November 1995, available in two distinct case formats: the standard Full Jewel PAL and the less common Full Jewel Black Bordered PAL, both carrying no hologram on the case. A later Platinum re-release was also issued, distinguishable by the presence of a Hologram A on the case and a different EAN barcode. Both original pressings are believed to include the EA No. 1 Catalogue as loose paperwork, though this is still being validated for each. All releases are English-language only and contain a single disc. The Black Bordered PAL variant is the rarest of the three and of particular interest to case format collectors.
