NBA Jam: Tournament Edition
SLES-00068
Initially Released 10 January 1996
NBA Jam: Tournament Edition is an arcade-style basketball game developed by Iguana Entertainment and published by Acclaim Entertainment, expanding on the original NBA Jam with a larger roster of NBA players, additional secret characters, Hot Spots, Super Jam Power-Ups, and new slam dunk animations. The Tournament Edition built substantially on the formula of its predecessor and was well received on home platforms.
One PAL variant is currently catalogued in the database, covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands under a single Original release. The game is presented in the Full Jewel PAL case format with a single disc, in English only, and carries no hologram on the case. No loose paperwork, case stickers, or bundled demo discs are documented. The earliest recorded PAL release date is 10 January 1996. With only one known PAL pressing across a broad six-territory distribution and no subsequent budget or Platinum reissues catalogued, this is a clean single-variant entry of solid interest for collectors of PAL sports and arcade titles.
