Johnny Bazookatone

Johnny Bazookatone is a 3D side-scrolling platformer developed by Arc Developments and published by US Gold, following guitar-wielding hero Johnny Bazookatone through a musical adventure set in the year 2050 as he battles his way out of prison to be reunited with his guitar, Anita. The game was released across multiple platforms including the PlayStation, Sega Saturn, 3DO, and MS-DOS.

Two PAL variants have been catalogued, both original releases covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, with no budget or Platinum re-releases documented. The first variant uses a Full Jewel PAL case, while the second uses a Full Jewel Black Bordered PAL case, making the case format the primary distinguishing feature between the two. Both carry a single disc with no hologram on the case, and both are English-language only. A US Gold Holford Registration Card is documented as loose paperwork. Both variants also carry a Blue Rectangle case sticker featuring reviews from GamePro and Saturn Plus and Sega Pro, which is a useful identification aid for collectors.
