Goal Storm

Goal Storm is a football simulation developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo and published by Konami, released for the PlayStation in early 1996. Known in Japan as World Soccer: Winning Eleven, it is the first instalment in the long-running franchise that would later become internationally recognised as Pro Evolution Soccer, featuring 36 national teams across Hyper Cup and Exhibition modes.

One PAL variant is currently catalogued in the database, covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands under a single Original release. The game is presented in the Full Jewel PAL case format with a single disc, in English only, and carries no hologram on the case. No loose paperwork, case stickers, or bundled demo discs are documented. The earliest recorded PAL release date is 15 January 1996. As the very first entry in what became one of gaming’s most enduring football franchises, Goal Storm carries notable historical significance, and this sole PAL Original pressing is an important early Konami PlayStation release for series historians and PAL collectors alike.
