CyberSpeed
SLES-00114
Initially Released 15 December 1995
CyberSpeed is a futuristic racing game developed and published by Mindscape, placing players on cable-tethered tracks in combat-heavy hovervehicle races that drew comparisons to Psygnosis’s Wipeout at the time of its release. The game was released for both PlayStation and Windows in 1995.
Three PAL variants have been catalogued, all original releases with no budget or Platinum re-releases documented. Releases cover France, Germany, and the UK, each receiving a separately packaged national edition with its own distinct EAN barcode despite sharing the same serial number. All three variants use the Full Jewel PAL case format with a single disc and no hologram on the case, and all support English, French, and German. No loose paperwork or bundled demo discs have been documented across any variant, though research notes flag the possible presence of a Mindscape registration card that has yet to be confirmed. The three separately issued national pressings make this a title of modest but genuine collector interest for those focused on early PAL racing game releases.
