Assault Rigs is a vehicular combat game developed by The WheelHause and published by Psygnosis, released in 1996 for PlayStation and MS-DOS. Set in a future where virtual combat sport has replaced real competition, players pilot a tank-like rig through 42 arena levels, collecting gems and destroying enemies, with the PlayStation version supporting head-to-head play via the Link Cable.

The PAL release is represented by a single catalogued variant, covering an unusually broad range of territories: the UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands. It was issued as an original edition and comes in a Multiway Jewel One Disk case with no hologram on the case, in English only. Research notes indicate the manual configuration varied by region, with the package containing a dual-language manual, pairing English with French and German for some territories, and English with Swedish, Finnish, and Danish or Spanish, Italian, and Dutch for others, with the English manual always included. No case stickers or bundled demo discs have been formally documented. The nine-territory single pressing and multilingual manual approach make this a particularly interesting release for collectors studying PAL distribution practices.
