Actua Soccer 2
SLES-00021
Initially Released 28 November 1997
Actua Soccer 2 is a football simulation developed and published by Gremlin Graphics, sometimes marketed as Actua Soccer 98 in reference to the 1998 FIFA World Cup, which the game capitalised on with the inclusion of national teams, a scenario mode, and a full team creator allowing up to 128 custom sides. Commentary duties were shared by Barry Davies and Trevor Brooking in the English-language version.
The database catalogues three PAL variants, covering releases across France, Germany, Italy, and the UK. All three are original releases presented in Full Jewel PAL cases with a single disc. Two variants carry a standard Hologram on the case, while the UK and France pressing uses a Hologram A. Language support across the PAL release includes English, French, German, and Italian, with country-specific pressings issued accordingly. The earliest PAL release is recorded as 28 November 1997. No loose paperwork or bundled demo discs have been documented for any variant. For collectors, the three-variant spread across major European territories makes a complete regional set an attainable but worthwhile goal.
