Initially Released 15 October 1996
Actua Golf is a golf simulation developed and published by Gremlin Interactive, released in 1996 as part of the company’s Actua Sports series. The game features full 3D terrain and character models, two courses to play (country and tropical), customisable characters, and multi-view shot tracking with action replays, using a swing metre system familiar to fans of earlier golf titles.
Two PAL variants are currently catalogued, both original release editions. Territories covered span a broad range including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark. Both variants use the Full Jewel PAL case format with a single disc and no hologram on the case. Language coverage across variants includes English, French and German. No loose paperwork or bundled demo discs have been documented for either release. The earliest PAL release is dated 15 October 1996. The two documented variants are distinguished primarily by their territory groupings, with one covering the UK and southern and northern European markets and the other aimed at France and Germany specifically.
