SLES-00095
Initially Released 1 August 1997
4-4-2 Soccer is a football management and simulation sports game developed by Arc Developments and published by Virgin Interactive, released for PlayStation and PC in 1997. The game features over 4,000 real player names drawn from nearly 80 international sides and over 180 club sides, with 25 individual player attributes that evolve as the game progresses.
The PAL release is represented by a single catalogued variant, distributed across France, the UK, Germany, Italy, and Spain. It was issued as an original edition and comes in a standard Full Jewel PAL single-disc case carrying a Hologram A on the case. Language coverage spans English, French, German, Spanish, and Italian. A Virgin Light Green VIE / CONSOLE Registration Card is included as loose paperwork, a distinctive insert associated with Virgin Interactive releases of the period. No case stickers or bundled demo discs have been documented. With only one PAL variant catalogued, this is a straightforward title for collectors to complete, and the Hologram A case and Virgin registration card provide clear physical identifiers for authenticating a complete copy.
